  1. It's 500 Grams of Squid (cleaned and cut into ring shape).
  2. It's 2 Teaspoons of chilly red powder (u may add more if u like spicy).
  3. You need 1 Teaspoon of Ginger-garlic paste.
  4. It's To Taste of salt.
  5. It's 2 of Onion large (finely Sliced).
  6. You need 1 of Tomato (medium,chopped).
  7. You need 1 Teaspoon of chilly Red powder.
  8. You need 1 Tablespoon of Coconut oil.
  9. Prepare of Curry leaves.
  10. Prepare of Coriander leaves.
  11. Prepare of water.

Koonthal fry or squid kadai!! instructions

  1. Put the marinated squid in a kadai along with the tomato, red chilly powder and a little bit of water. (Make sure you pour only a little bit of water coz while cooking water comes from tomato and squid).
  2. Cook covered for a while and when the squid is almost cooked open lid cook so that the water completely evaporates. (You may increase the flame well if water is too much).Make sure you saute in between..
  3. When the water is almost evaporated add curry leaves and saute again. Add the coconut oil now and saute again..
  4. Once the water is gone add the onion and a bit of salt to this. Saute well till onion becomes brown and almost like fried. Add coriander leaves and remove from fire. Serve with rice, chappatis..
